In honor of Earth Day, Samsung is giving you the chance to help keep e-waste out of landfills and score a discount on a flagship phone.
Starting today, the Galaxy S24 series, including the S24 Ultra, S24+, and the S24, are available as part of Samsung’s Certified Renewed program, which allows you to purchase refurbished phones at a value price.
With this program, Samsung explains, you’re getting a like-new phone while keeping a used phone from becoming garbage — helping the environment in the long run.

This announcement comes just after refurbished electronics marketplace Back Market announced a partnership with device repair provider iFixit to encourage people to keep their devices longer in response to looming tariffs that threaten to increase the price of new tech.
How pricing breaks down
If you’re interested, there are a few things you should know about Samsung’s Certified Renewed program.
- The S24 Ultra, available in titanium black, will cost $1,019.99 for the 256GB version and $1,139.99 for the 512GB option.
- The S24+, in onyx black, will be $799.99 for the 256GB version and $919.99 for the 512GB.
- The S24, in onyx black, is the most affordable of the bunch at $619.99 for the 128GB version and $669.99 for the 256GB option.
Compared to other options, some of those are decent deals and some aren’t.
The base S24 is $700 new for a 128GB version and $760 for the 256GB. You’re saving $80 or $90 depending on which size option you choose.
The S24+ is also sold out directly from Samsung, but you can pick up the 512GB on Amazon for $849, a savings of $70.
Samsung doesn’t sell the original S24 Ultra anymore, but you can get it from Amazon (the 512GB version at least) for $1,055. You’re paying $85 more for a refurbished phone there.
If you’re interested in any of these models, it’s worth shopping around.

Other things to know
Any device sold through this program has a one-year limited warranty, Samsung says, the same as a new phone. You can add additional Samsung Care+–> if you’d like. The phones are unlocked and compatible with any CDMA or GSM carrier (including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Cricket, and US Cellular).

The new box will include a charging cable, manual, ejector pin, and one-year warranty card.
While the devices aren’t brand new, they are “like new,” according to the company, and go through a rigorous inspection to make sure they’re top quality. Any repairs are done with 100% genuine Samsung parts.
Financing
Like-new Samsung phones offer several financing options — $0 down and 0% APR through Samsung Financing or “Pay in 4” with Affirm or Klarna.
