The Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 are selling for their lowest price of all time – and I don’t expect the deal to last

Jada Jones/ZDNET

If you’re an Android user wanting a pair of premium earbuds, look no further than the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2. Google’s second-generation flagship earbuds debuted last fall with improved noise-canceling capabilities, a smaller bud shape, enhanced sound quality, and Google Gemini integration.

The Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 normally retail for $229, but they’re currently on for $179 at Amazon, Best Buy<!–>, the Google Store–>, and Walmart<!–>. During this sale, all colors – Hazel, Peony, Porcelain, and Wintergreen – are on sale.

I recommend these earbuds over AirPods for Android users, as any smartphone running Android 6.0 or newer can access the Pixel Buds’ best features. Still, Gemini is reserved for Pixel users, offering hands-free access to Google’s Gemini AI chatbot.

I tested the Pixel Buds Pro 2 and enjoyed their great sound and effective noise cancellation. Despite the earbuds’ small shape, they have intuitively placed touch controls on the buds’ outer edge. Instead of swiping up and down for volume control, the Pixel Buds promote left/right swipes for volume control.

The Pixel Buds boast 12 hours of continuous audio playback with ANC turned off, plus an additional 30 hours with the charging case. Out of all the premium earbuds on the market from Apple, Samsung, Sony, or even Bose, Google’s buds<!–> offer the most listening time on one charge.

How I rated this deal

Google’s earbuds were released just six months ago, and they’re packed with future-proof features, comfort, and a long-lasting battery life. At their $179 sale price, these relatively new earbuds are cheaper than all of their competitors while offering full utility to almost every Android user.
