The best graphics card deal this week isn’t part of Amazon’s Spring Sale – and it’s almost gone

Sapphire/AMD/ZDNET

If you’ve been disappointed by the lack of graphics card deals during the Amazon Spring Sale, right now at Walmart you can pick up a Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 7800 XT for $690. That’s a discount of $335 that you can put towards upgrading the rest of your gaming setup. But you’ll have to hurry because there are only a handful left.

This AMD desktop graphics card has 16GB of DDR6 VRAM and a base clock speed of 2124MHz, which is plenty of power to handle just about any triple-A game in your library or on your wishlist. But if you want to get just a little more out of your GPU, it’s able to be overclocked to 2430MHz — though this is only recommended for experienced PC builders and gamers, as overclocking your components may void warranties or damage delicate electronics if not done correctly.

With 2 HDMI and 2 DisplayPort outputs, the RX 7800 XT is capable of supporting up to four external displays, making it perfect for content creators and other creative professionals who may need a multi-screen setup to streamline their workflow and multitask in various programs and applications for projects and livestreams.

And unlike the high-end Nvidia 40 Series GPUs, you won’t have to invest in a new, full-size tower case to make sure it fits. With dual cooling fans and a compact 11 x 5.1 x 2.1 inch design, it’s a near-perfect fit for many mid- and full-size towers; and if you’re running a mini-ATX or other micro-compact format like a fanless laptop and looking to pick up the Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 7800 XT–>, you might want to pick up an external GPU housing for a hassle-free way to instantly boost your PC’s graphics capabilities.

How I rated this deal:

While this isn’t the deepest discount I’ve seen on this particular graphics card (it was 55% off during Walmart’s Black Friday sale), it’s still the steepest markdown I can find on any GPU available at any retailer. With many stores only offering a disappointing $50-100 off both Nvidia and AMD options, Walmart has this AMD card marked down almost $350.
