I’m a frequent traveler, so I try to minimize bulk by carrying multipurpose items. For instance, I pack the Satechi 3-in-1 wireless charger<!–> instead of carrying two or three separate wires for my Apple Watch Series 11, AirPods and iPhone. I also carry a dual-port Nomad Type-C charging brick–> and two Type-C to -C wires. However, for the longest time, I had to pack an extra USB-A to USB-C wire for long-haul flights and public charging infrastructure. That is, until I found the Statik PowerPivot Pro<!–> wire.

It usually costs $20, but is currently available for $18 on Amazon. You can apply a 20% off coupon to bring the price down to $14, giving you $6 off on the already-affordable versatile cable.
The Statik PowerPivot Pro cable offers fast charging, convenient usability and a 2-in-1 port on one end. The Statik PowerPivot Pro is essentially a USB-A to USB-C cable but the former can be pulled out to reveal a Type-C port, making it a USB-C to -C wire when needed. It comes in handy during flights, when I don’t know if the aircraft I’m boarding will have the traditional USB-A port or the more modern USB-C.
When I reach my destination, it also serves as a fast-charging cable for my M4 MacBook Air. The Statik PowerPivot Pro is rated to deliver a satisfactory 480Mbps (USB 2.0 standard) data transfer speed and up to 60W power output for fast charging.

This 6ft. wire is made out of nylon for added durability and has a unique “U” pill-shaped head design on the other end. It is great for when you’re using your phone while charging, so the wire won’t break from consistent folding. I love its 180-degree swivel mechanism for added convenience.
However, you need to be extra careful when pulling it out or inserting it in a device, because I’ve broken one while trying to insert it in my iPhone’s port. You can opt for a more versatile magnetic version–> if you are careless with your wires.
