The CX14 is a lightweight Chromebook that boots up quickly, multitasks easily, and stays cool and battery-efficient thanks to the Intel Core 3 processor on board.
You’ve got 8GB of RAM here – plenty for a Chromebook and the efficient ChromeOS – as well as 128GB of eMMC local storage. This is a device ideal for working out of Google Drive and the browser, while taking advantage of the 1080p webcam for hopping on calls. At 3.06 pounds, it’s light enough to fit in a bag and commute with, especially if that entails long days on campus or in the office. The 45W battery backs that up with a reported 10 hours of use on one charge. You’re likely to see a little less than that if you’re getting more intensive use out of it, but you’ll still likely get a full workday.

Chromebook Plus devices have a handful of additional capabilities compared to their base level counterparts, such as better hardware (more RAM, more local storage, higher quality builds) and features like one-click summaries with Help me read, more efficient work support with the Quick Insert key, and even cloud gaming on platforms like Nvidia’s GeForce Now.
Asus’ CX14 Chromebook Plus<!–> is one of the cheapest Chromebooks we’ve seen relative to its release date (it came out in May of 2025) so if you’re looking for a device with longevity, this is one we handily recommend.

How I rated this deal
I gave this deal a 4/5 for the fact that it’s almost half off the regular price of $429 – an already-low price. The feature set relative to price is notable for this device, which has only been on the market for about six months.
