The Toniebox has become a sensation among kids, but it’s also beloved by parents who appreciate its screen-free entertainment offerings. My own children love their Toniebox, so they were delighted when we upgraded to the Toniebox 2. Now, you can upgrade your older Toniebox or dive into screen-free play this holiday season with a Black Friday deal.

At $100, the Toniebox 2 starter set is $40 off, offering a great opportunity to score a wonderful gift for the little ones in your life. The Toniebox is a portable audio player covered in soft, padded fabric, making it easy for kids to handle and protecting them from inevitable falls. The older Toniebox 1<!–> is also on sale with a 30% discount, bringing its price down to $70.
It’s light enough for my four-year-old to carry and older-kid-friendly enough for my nine-year-old to enjoy. The Toniebox utilizes Tonies, which provide an interactive way for kids to enjoy screen-free entertainment, free from questionable content and the limitations of a Wi-Fi network.

Tonies are small, colorful figures that are available in various popular characters. Each Tonie figurine represents a different track list with audio recordings, which can be music, a story, or both, similar to a modern-day CD or cassette. Unlike a CD, the tracklists are triggered by a built-in NFC chip within each Tonie figurine.

When a Tonie is placed on top of the Toniebox, the content starts playing. It stops and resumes when removed and placed back. Kids can control volume by pinching the ears along the top, skip tracks by whacking one side of the cube, and fast forward or rewind by tilting the Toniebox. It features a built-in rechargeable battery and USB-C port, allowing your little ones to take the Toniebox on road trips or camping trips, as it doesn’t require wireless connections to continue working.
The Toniebox 2 also allows for interactive play with various Tonieplay sets, which are sold separately. The device utilizes these to guide your children through board games, trivia, and other interactive, screen-free games.
How I rated this deal
This is the lowest price we’ve seen for the Toniebox 2, which was just released this year. I gave this 30% discount a rating of 3/5. This is a fantastic deal for a new device that delivers screen-free entertainment and your kids’ favorite characters. While it’s not a half-off discount, it’s still surprisingly good for such a new product.
