EcoFlow’s newest Trail 300 portable power stations are its slimmest and lightest to date, fit to bring on your camping adventures and mobile enough to carry without being weighed down. The Trail Series is a pair of DC-only power stations, so they don’t feature a heavy AC inverter, much like the Anker Solix C300<!–>, which has become a favorite at my home.
EcoFlow’s new Trail Series offers a compact portable power station that’s ideal for multi-use charging, whether that means a camping tent to charging a kid’s tablet. The Trail 300 is the flagship model and features 300W of DC output spread across five ports, including two 140W USB-C fast-charge ports and a 12V car outlet.

“Trail series is our answer to a growing generation of consumers who want gear that’s as lightweight,” said Brian Essenmacher, head of North American business development at EcoFlow.
Like the Anker Solix C300, it delivers 288Wh to devices, but EcoFlow says the Trail 300 is 18% lighter than other DC-based portable power stations. The Anker C300 weighs 6.17 pounds, while the Trail 300 weighs 5.69 pounds.

I typically prefer an AC-based power station because it allows me to charge devices with a traditional AC plug, but DC-based systems have their place in many use cases. Most portable devices nowadays only need a USB-C or USB-A port to charge, so you can easily use the Trail 300 or Trail Plus 300 to charge your smartphone, tablets, smartwatches, and more.
The Trail Plus 300 has the same features as the Trail 300, with a built-in light that looks perfect to light up a tent at night and a detachable 140W charging cable handle.

EcoFlow’s new lineup includes the Trail 200, a 4-lb DC power station with a 220W output at 192Wh capacity. Its four USB ports make it a good, affordable choice to power essential devices.
While EcoFlow has yet to announce the prices for each power station, the company said the Trail 200 and 300 will be available for purchase on August 1, while the Trail Plus 300 will be available in October.
