Apple’s September keynote, its biggest event of the year, debuted the new iPhone 16 series, which includes notable camera and audio upgrades. One of the most impressive features, Audio Mix, is available in the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Apple says Audio Mix, which can isolate voices and background elements, makes it sound like the video was recorded in a professional studio rather than in the palm of your hand.

In Audio Mix, wind noise reduction also comes into play thanks to powerful machine-learning algorithms (using Apple Intelligence) that reduce unwanted noise in your videos for the best audio quality.

Also: Finally, the iPhone 16 Pro will have the same cameras as the Pro Max

Both iPhone Pro models feature four new studio-quality mics and the ability to capture video in Spatial Audio for an immersive and true-to-life sound.

When you pair the speakers in the devices with Audio Mix, you can create a cinematic sound with off-camera audio and change to in-frame/studio sound to cut out the background noises in the scene you’re shooting.

These high-quality audio features are meant to appeal to professionals (hence the ‘Pro’ in iPhone Pro), such as filmmakers or content creators looking to get a better quality sound experience than the average iPhone user.
